Oktoberfest in McKinney!
Oktoberfest is Friday, September 23 & 24, and Laura Moore Gallery is renting a big tent and hosting an outdoor art gallery for this downtown McKinney-sponsored event. This is one of McKinney’s biggest festivals, and it’s typically very well attended.
Here’s the scoop:
●The festival is Friday, September 23, from 4:00pm – 11:00pm, and Saturday, September 24 from 10:00am – 11:00pm. Friday setup: 10a-4pm. Saturday setup: 8a-10a
●You can choose to exhibit one or two days. You’re required to occupy the tent for the full event times. You can share your booth with another artist (recommended on Saturday since it’s a long day/night). Setup together and then work 2 different shifts. Tag team!
● The exhibition is juried by the gallery.
●Deadline for entry is September 3rd or as soon as we’re out of space. Artists will be notified of acceptance by September 3rd.
Here’s how to submit an application:
Email email@example.com 1-3 jpegs of art that represents what you will have in your booth. If you are sharing your booth with another artist, you must send 1-3 jpegs of art for EACH
artist. No non-juried art. It’s free to apply! It’s $50 per day for a 7’x10′ covered space, $25 for a 7’x10′ uncovered space. 10% commission on all sales. Customers will pay with cash, check or credit card inside the gallery. This is a fun, inexpensive way to get your work in front of an audience and take advantage of the gallery’s marketing. Booth fees must be received by September 10th.
